A perfect number is a positive integer that equals the sum of its proper divisors (excluding itself).
Example: 6
Divisors: 1, 2, 3
Sum: 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 ✓
Divisors: 1, 2, 3
Sum: 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 ✓
The Mystery
All known perfect numbers are even. No odd perfect number has ever been found, despite centuries of searching. This is one of the oldest unsolved problems in mathematics.
